Sodium thiosulfate, also known as sodium sulfite, big soda, Haibo. It is a colorless and transparent monoclinic crystal with a density of 1.667 g/cm3. Melting point 48 degrees Celsius. Sodium thiosulfate can be used for tanning leather and extracting silver from ores; it can be used to remove chlorine in tap water and is widely used in aquaculture; it is clinically used to treat pruritus, urticaria, drug eruption, cyanide, thallium Poisoning and arsenic poisoning are treated by intravenous injection.

 

Application

 

Sodium thiosulfate can be used as dechlorination agent and bactericide for drinking water and wastewater in water treatment. Because of its low price, high efficiency and pollution-free characteristics in water quality improvement, it has also been widely used in aquaculture industry.
