  **Introduction to Aluminum Sulfate:**

Aluminum sulfate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Al2(SO4)3. It readily dissolves in water and is often confused with alum. Primarily utilized as a coagulant, aluminum sulfate is employed for purifying drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities. Additionally, it finds application in the paper industry.

In its natural state, aluminum sulfate is seldom found in an anhydrous form. Instead, it tends to form various hydrates, with hexadecahydrate aluminum sulfate being the most prevalent among them.
 

  It is used as a purifying agent for turbid water, and also as a precipitating agent, color fixing agent, filler, etc. Used as antiperspirant cosmetic raw material (astringent) in cosmetics
