ACH is the brand of aluminum hydroxychloride, also known as Aluminum Chlorohydrate. The Chinese name is aluminum hydroxychloride, also known as polymerized aluminum or aluminum chloride, and its molecular formula is Al2(OH)5Cl·2H2O. It is an inorganic polymer compound with a higher alkalization degree (basic degree) than polyaluminum chloride and second only to aluminum hydroxide. It is bridged and polymerized through hydroxyl groups and has the highest number of hydroxyl groups in the molecule. It is a white powdery solid, and its solution is a colorless and transparent liquid. The alumina content in liquid products is more than 23%, and the alumina content in solid products is 46% to 50%. It has strong bridging adsorption performance and is easily soluble in water. The hydrolysis process is accompanied by physical and chemical processes such as electrochemistry, condensation, adsorption and precipitation.

ACH is a highly polymerized solution of polyaluminium chloride. It features the highest aluminum content of any solution-based aluminum product on the market at 23% Al2O3 (w/w). ACH's basicity of 83%-90% is also the highest of any solution-based aluminum salt. The degree of alkalization (alkalinity) refers to the degree of acid neutralization, and also represents the degree of polymerization of the polymerized aluminum in ACH.
The highly polymerized aluminum in ACH has a higher cationic charge than standard salts such as alum or polyaluminum chloride or even other aluminum salt products. Therefore, ACH can provide a higher level of performance and reduce overall usage. The high acid neutralizing capacity (alkalinity) also means that the impact of the pH of the water environment is negligible when applying ACH. ACH also condenses effectively over a wider pH range (e.g., 5-9.5) than traditional metal salts and low-basin polyaluminum chlorides.

Urban drinking water treatment
As a flocculant, ACH is mainly used for standard water quality treatment of pure water, drinking water and domestic water supply. This product is synthesized from pure aluminum and edible through multiple processes. Its product quality standards comply with the United States Pharmacopeia USP-34 standard and the European Union EC standard. . It is much higher than my country's drinking water treatment standard GB15892-2009 and is an internationally recognized drinking water treatment agent.
