(PAM) polyacrylamide is acrylamide homopolymer or copolymerized polymer with other monomers collectively known as (PAM) polyacrylamide is one of the most widely used water-soluble polymers. (PAM) polyacrylamide is widely used in oil exploitation, paper making, water treatment, textile, medicine, agriculture and other industries. According to statistics, 37% of the total production of polyacrylamide worldwide (PAM) is used for wastewater treatment, 27% for petroleum industry and 18% for paper industry.
Polyacrylamide (Poly(acrylamide), CAS No. 9003-05-8, molecular formula (C3H5NO)n), acrylamide is a linear organic polymer and polymer flocculant product that allows adsorption of suspended particles in water. It acts as a link and bridge between the particles, making the fine particles form relatively large floc and speeding up the precipitation speed. This process is called flocculation, and PAM is widely used in wastewater treatment as a flocculant for water treatment because of its good flocculation effect. Polyacrylamide mesh number: Mesh number refers to the particle size or thickness of the material, mesh number is the number of squares per unit area. The general definition refers to the number of mesh in an area of 1 inch *1 inch, that is, the number of mesh in the screen.
1. Flocculation. PAM can make the suspended material through the electric neutralization, flocculation.
2. Adhesion. It can be bonded through physical and chemical processes.
3. Thickening. It thickens under both neutral and acidic conditions, and tends to hydrolyze if the PH value is above 10.
Application
1. It is mainly used for the sludge dewatering and decrease the rate of water content of sludge.
2. It can be used to treat industrial wastewater and life sewage water.
3. It can be used for papermaking to improve dry and wet strength of paper and to improve dry and wet strength of paper and to increase the reservation of tiny fibers and fillings.
