    Potassium dihydrogen phosphate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula KH2PO4. It is deliquescent and melts into a transparent liquid when heated to 400°C. After cooling, it solidifies into opaque glassy potassium metaphosphate. Stable in air, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. Industrially used as a buffer, a culture agent, as a flavoring agent for the synthesis of sake as a bacterial culture agent, as a raw material for making potassium metaphosphate, as a culture agent, enhancer, leavening agent, and fermentation aid for brewing yeast, and as an agricultural agent High-efficiency phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer.
